Looking back from the 'Old Thieves Road' on the Ben Alder Estate to Dalwhinnie where we finished the previous year's walk and was the starting point of this walk. It was mid-summer, we had a good breakfast inside us, our packs felt light and with such a good start to the day we raring to go and enjoy some of the remoter areas of Scotland
